We have been featured for the sixth year running in the Michelin Guide: Eating Out in Pubs with a “Green Man Recognition for Excellence” – testament to the high standards we set for ourselves in the restaurant and the quality cuisine we strive to serve year after year.
We pride ourselves on serving only the finest and freshest British ingredients in our seasonal menus so that there are new dishes and flavours to discover every time you visit.
But don’t worry, whilst we love creating new beautifully crafted dishes, such as caramelised free range Chicken Supreme with tarragon sauce or pork belly with black pudding mash, regulars will be pleased to know that you’ll always find our signature Ad Cod Burger, Chilli Squid and Dry Aged Steaks on the menu. We’ve even expanded our burger offering with a special Wednesday Burger Night where the chef’s special creation such as lobster, foie gras and duck egg burgers regularly appear on the menu.
If you are feeling like something lighter at lunch, we have recently introduced a sumptuous range of freshly made daily salads and sandwiches, or skip mains altogether and head straight for our puddings – our old-fashioned Sticky Toffee Pudding is a firm favourite.
In a hurry during the week? Pre-order your lunch by calling ahead or try our Short and Sweet set menu to pick and choose 2 or 3 courses of our favourite dishes – perfect for a working lunch or when you have a concert or show to catch.
